Sue Ann (Soyoung) Lee, Ph.D. Assistant Professor
Interests and Expertise
Dr. Lee's research focuses on cross-linguistic examination of children's speech development and the role of linguistic input. Specifically, she is interested in investigating the relative role of production and perceptual mechanisms of infant speech development in various language environments and characterizing the speech and language inputs from mothers to their infants relative to both semantic and phonetic variables. Another major area of Dr. Lee's research interest lies in speech and language development of bilingual children. Currently Dr. Lee investigates vowel production of English-Korean bilingual children.
