Sherri Sieff, Ph.D. Clinical Professor
Interests and Expertise
Dr. Sieff's expertise focuses on school-age language development and the assessment and intervention of oral and written language disorders in this population. She is particularly interested in the relationship between oral and written language and the role of the speech-language pathologist in literacy education. She currently supervises undergraduate and graduate students in the on-campus clinic, team teaches undergraduate courses integrating articulation and child language theory with the clinical process, and teaches the graduate course School-age Language. She is currently developing a course, The Role of the SLP in Literacy, and in partnership with Milwaukee Center for Independence, a summer writing lab for elementary school-age children. She has conducted research in child language and student learning and has presented on these topics at local, state, and national levels.
