The Continuing Education and Outreach Program will be a leader in nursing continuing education through dynamic and innovative educational activities.
MISSION
The Continuing Education and Outreach Program provides non-credit continuing education opportunities for professional nurses encompassing local, regional, national, and international needs. Diverse educational activities are provided for personal and professional growth of nurses as a means to improve the quality of nursing practice and enhance the profession of nursing.
The Continuing Education and Outreach Program collaborates with UWM faculty and staff, other educational institutions, professional organizations, and health care agencies to assess learning needs, plan educational activities, and evaluate the outcomes. The Continuing Education and Outreach Program maintains high quality activities by meeting the standards for nursing professional development.
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee College of Nursing Continuing Education and Outreach Program is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Wisconsin Nurses Association Continuing Education Approval Program Committee, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
