"The Midwest Nursing Centers Consortium Research Network"

The aims of this grant were to a) establish a regional practice-based research network of advanced practice nurses who provide care in non-traditional community nursing center settings; b) develop a web-based system for data collection and transfer that complies with evolving data privacy mandates; and c) implement a collaborative program of community-based participatory research with vulnerable populations that will inform primary care practice, health professional education and health care policy.

This study used a multi-dimensional strategy to promote behavior change in the diverse, low-income population served by eight academic community nursing centers.
