As Vice President of Renewable Energy Solutions, Don Albinger heads up a team of energy experts. His team is responsible for developing and deploying the technologies and expertise surrounding a variety of renewable sources - wind, solar, landfill gas, biomass, and photovoltaic. A major focus of the team is the development of customized deal structures and project implementation of customer renewable energy opportunities. The team also supports projects with customer education programs and grant writing support to take advantage of funding opportunities for emerging technologies. During his 25 years with Johnson Controls, Don's experience includes the technical development of Building Management Systems and the advancement of environmental control methods for buildings and programming technologies. Within Johnson Controls, he has held management positions focused on global distribution of security and fire systems, as well as the development of strategic alliances that advanced the technical ability of Johnson Controls' building systems to perform critical building functions focusing on safety and security. Don has a consistent track record of bringing increased value to our customers through innovative offerings such as the bundling of services with technologies, and the advancement of technology offerings through strategic alliances and partnerships. Don is a member of the American Council of Renewable Energy and the Product Development Management Association. He enjoys coaching youth football programs in his community. Albinger obtained his BS in education from the University of Wisconsin- Platteville, a BS in mechanical engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, followd by a masters degree in engineering management from MSOE.
