Jean Creighton delights in sharing her interest in astronomy with a broad audience. As Director of the Manfred Olson Planetarium at UWM, she has had extensive experience talking to small and large groups, beginners and advanced audiences. An added bonus: her Greek origin makes her a good storyteller as well.

Jean has an MS in Astronomy from Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Waterloo. She did post-doctoral research with an infrared satellite (WIRE) at the California Institute of Technology. She has taught astronomy at UWM since 1999.
