Daniel V. Folkman is an Associate Professor and Chair of CUCD. Dan has more than 30 years experience in community development within central city neighborhoods. Throughout his career, he has sought to create opportunities for resident involvement in local decision-making, community learning, empowerment and transformation. Dan's research and practical interests are focused on the possibilities and constraints that influence the quality of learning among all participants involved in community development activities. He has published articles and given local and national presentations on these and related topics with special focus on facilitating participatory action-learning and research strategies that relate to program development and evaluation, such as MPS Community Learning Centers/Action Learning Teams.
